A stone sill is not the same as a standard window frame or painted sill, so the scope should be clear before the work is booked.
Cleaning for the surface
Natural and manufactured stone can vary in texture, porosity and finish. Tell us if the sills have loose or damaged areas, old coatings, crumbling joints or staining that may need specialist assessment.
The method must be appropriate for the surface. Some marks or discolouration may remain after cleaning, particularly where they are within the material rather than on top of it.
Know what is included
The service is for the agreed exterior sill surfaces. Repairs, re-pointing, stone restoration, repainting and sealing are separate jobs and should not be assumed to be included.
Different from a regular window clean
Routine window cleaning covers the work described in your selected window-cleaning plan. Dedicated stone-sill cleaning is an additional service and does not automatically repeat every four weeks.
